Q: Will honda release a new civic in the phil. for the year 2007 or will they stick to the new honda civic 2006?
I just wanna find out if Honda will release a new honda civic this year because Im planning to buy a new one this January but hesitant because they might sell a new type of civic at the end of the year.

A: Yes, the factory coolant IS antifreeze. If you need to know your current freeze point, the shop that does your oil changes should be able to test it for you. If you have never added anything to it, you should be OK on a 2006. Have the coolant changed every 3 yrs. or 30,000 miles.

Antifreeze and coolant are the same thing. One liquid that does two jobs.

If you’re in CA, where dealers are everywhere, you should be able to get any color of any Civic for the absolutely best price you can get, as there’s no such thing as “limited” or “rare” Civic anymore.

Be patient. Most dealers and salesperson, will call you back in a week after a failed negotiation over the phone or e-mail, to see if they can convince you to buy a car from them.

When you do go in to finalize your deal, MAKE SURE you QUESTION any extra fees when you’re signing the final papers/agreement. Usually, they try to stick in a PDI (pre-delivery inspection) for $300 ~ $600, which is BS. No such thing. Tell them you don’t want it. YES, you don’t want your car inspected before delivery. If they said they can’t take it off, or it’s already done, tell them you want to buy a car that’s not inspected, or need another day to think about it. Usually, they’d know you know what’s up, and they’ll take it off.

Once you have decided what car you want, buy the main Sunday newspaper in the city where you live. Look at the automotive classified section and see at what price the various dealers in your area are advertising the car that you want. That should be your target price. When they get you in the finance office do not buy the extended warranty or any of the other stuff that they will try to sell you. Compare financing with your bank because the dealer will try to add interest to the loan. Also don’t buy any dealer added accessories like alarms, fancy wheels, after market sunroof etc. Other than that make sure you like the car because once you drive it away you can not take it back.

A: check into getting a set of racing seats. sometimes you can adjust the bracket on the floor before mounting the seats to give you the extra space you need.

A: Rico it really does depend on how you drive the car. If it’s a manual you can see upwards 40MPG even in the SI model. Normal driving is est 31MPG HWY in the 2006 Civic SI
