Did anyone else think the new Cadillac CTS was amazing? I really think it was one of the nicest cars at the Detroit Auto Show.

A: the ride isnt caddy smooth, and the resale value is crap. i looked at an 05cts this summer. it only had 18k miles and the DEALERSHIP was willing to give it to me for $15k (with free oil changes and carwashes for 2 years). if ur not gonna keep it until it runs into the ground, reconsider.

Q: Thinking about buying new cadillac cts 09?
Hello everyone just wondering if theres is any difference in the new 09 cadillac CTS compared to the 08? When i mean difference i mean the body or in the engine…(more of the engine) any who if not does anyone know if the cadillac 2010 will have a difference in the engine or body? any thing will help not sure if to wait and buy my car now or wait till next year about this time… :) thanks!

Q: Does anyone know about how much the new Cadillac CTS coupes are going to cost?
I know they are coming out with it in the Summer of 09. A cadillac dealer already told me but he said he doesn’t know how much they are going to cost. They are very nice!!

A: your guess is as good as mine, I really don’t know when they are even coming out with it for sure but it is sharp.

Q: does the new cadillac CTS have optional paddle shifters?
would a new cadillac CTS be another option to buying a used 2003 BMW m3, Lexus IS 350, or Infiniti G37. What are some other sporty luxury cars ( new or used) with paddle shifters and between $30000— $40000.

A: No.

The 2008 CTS doesn’t have paddle shifters. The new 6 speed automatic transmission has the same Driver Shift Control as in prior years. Move the console shifter to the right on move it forward and backward to change gears. Good luck.

Q: Is it safe to drive the new Cadillac CTS in wintertime?
Where i live it gets icy and snowy and im scared of sliding. I live in michigan and we get storms here. Please help should i just get the wrx instead?

This one involves a woman of Asian heritage, driving a red Cadillac CTS at nighttime.

A: The models look the same to me.Not much has changed sence 2004.The only true difference is price and number of options you can get on the new ones.Best of luck.

A: Cadillac CTS info and road test and reviews plus in Dealers show room since JUNE 12 2007. This is the early EDITION. LATE EDITION September 13 2007 CANADA. They have been on the drawing board for the last seven years. and on the prooving grounds for over one and a half years.

Q: a used 2007 BMW M3 or a new 2008 BMW 335 or wait for next year for a new 2009 Cadillac CTS-V???
I just inherited some money which becomes available next year after all the red tape and I want to buy a new car. I drove the BMW 335 and M3 already and like the way they drive but for the same price I can get a Caddy CTS-V with a 505hp V8 engine and it looks wayyyyyyy cooler. Which one should I get?????

A: Although at this time there is only speculation as to the specifics of the CTS-V, I would suggest waiting. My top pick between the BMW 5 series, 3 series and CTS is the 2008 Cadillac CTS hands down. Drive it for yourself. You may also want to consider the Chrysler 300 6.1L or Lexus GS450. Both ranked miles ahead of BMW in quality.

I would suggest staying away from the M3 for sure. That engine is a gem on paper but most blow up within 30k miles, some have even been reported to blow in just 5k miles and require complete rebuilds- cracked blocks is one example of a common problem. On top of that the engine is expensive to replace and requires many hours of expensive labor.
The 5 and 3 series engines are more reliable but have many electrical problems. My advice- go with the CTS-V. The wait will be well worth it. (Plus the CTS looks like a superstar compare to the 5 series with its spread eagle headlamps!)
