Q: 2011 Toyota Highlander SE 2WD Out the door cost.?
I’m shopping around for a 2011 Toyota Highlander SE 2WD. Internet deals have quoted less expensive costs, as opposed to walking into the dealership and them quoting me the cost. I’ve done my share of research, but wanted to know your opinions on what a good, out the door, cost would be for this vehicle. Thanks.

A: 36,000 At first

We got all the options, 5.2 something interest rate, and got the price down to 34,500

Helpful hint- If they say that they cant give you discount on the sticker price, just say nvm and leave, they’ll eventually call you back and ask you to come back and give you some discount.

P.S this is 2011 not 2010

Q: 2011 Toyota Highlander Question and 2011 vehicle questions?
Hello, I heard a couple of days ago that the Toyota Highlander has been revised for 2011. I saw a demonstration of the 2011 Highlander Hybrid on Youtube and the 3rd row (now standard) was one big seat. I believe the 3rd row in the highlander is a 50/50 split folding seat and i was wondering if they dropped the 50/50 split or if its just a hybrid version thing??

2nd) We will be purchasing a new vehicle in 2011 around february-April and we need it to seat at least 6 people and have room for luggage for vacations. We need it to be reliable and somewhat fuel efficient as well. What vehicles do you recommend and why?? Thank You!!

A: Highlander is good. I would also reccomend the Toyota Sequoia or Nissan Armada.

Q: Would I be better off buying a new Toyota Highlander now or wait until 2011?
My husband and I have been vehicle shopping for a few months now and have decided that we want a 2010 or 2011 Toyota Highlander. I have always heard that the end of the year and month is a good time to buy a new vehicle because they are wanting to make a sale and get vehicles off the lot. However, I am concerned about buying the vehicle now because of having to pay personal property taxes on them next year, which would amount to approximately $750. Whereas if I wait until 2011, I won’t have to pay personal property tax on it until 2012. What do you think…should I buy now or wait? Thanks!
I’ve been looking for a good used Highlander, but it just seems that the price really isn’t that much lower than a new vehicle. Also with buying a new vehicle, I can get pretty good financing. So that is why I am thinking a new vehicle. Thanks for the advice though. I currently have a celica and am looking for a vehicle better in the snow and something more family-oriented.

A: Remember the Mother who was killed in an overaccelerating Highlander, while her 2 children in the rear seat watched in horror as their Mother was killed. It was a Highlander. Need I say more?

Q: Should I buy a 2011 Honda CRV SE or 2010 Toyota Highlander V4 Base?
Which one is better? I heard Honda is great quality, but Toyota is having recall problems right now. Their prices are very close. Help me decide, which one? Why? Thanks.

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.fateback.com

Q: When is the 2011 edition of the Toyota Highlander Hybrid coming out? Any change between 2010 and 2011?

A: I would think change will be minimal because original Highlander was introduced in 2001 and then redesigned styling body came in 2008 model year.

BTW a good starting point for market price would be CARMAX…

Hope the Above Info Helps!

Q: Hello. I’m Chinese and I’m getting a new 2011 Ford Taurus rather than a Toyota Highlander as I planned to. Why?

A: Perhaps you LIKE doing home repairs on your vehicles..

Q: Did Toyota’s graduate rebate ever include the Highlander?
Until looking yesterday, I thought that Toyota’s graduate incentive included the Highlander. However, when I look now, it doesn’t include the Highlander. It says it expires Jan 3 2011..so I wonder if it will include the Highlander. Does anyone know if the graduate incentive ever included the Highlander?

A: No, the graduate incentive program was for first-time buyers and had around $20K ceiling which put anything higher than a Camry out of reach.

Q: Toyota Highlander Limited (best deal idea)?
I have given an offer of 37,000 OTD for the 2010 Highlander Limited (fully upgraded) and ‘Toyota guys’ are stuck at 39,000 OTD.
Moreover, 2011 models are out in market now. What do u suggest? Do I expect this price getting any better? I have been in market for almost 3months now, looking for a deal.

A: The best deal is to skip it all together.

Toyota has recalled 40% of what they made since 1998.

Q: What is the best Hyrbid SUV?
I really like the 2011 Toyota Highlander Hybrid is that SUV any good??
If not what is the best hybrid SUV? l want a 2010 or 2011
A Prius is to small I take my 4 BIG dogs basically everywhere I go and a prius is way too small.

A: If you need room for 4 big dogs and have to have a hybrid, the Toyota Highlander is really your only real hybrid with room enough to meet your needs.

The Ford Escape Hybrid will be too small and the GM hybrids do not use the same synergy technology as Ford and Toyota.
GM makes more of a part-time hybrid, where the gas engine only shuts off and charges the hybrid battery while you are ‘idling’. The Toyota and Ford hybrids re-charge when you hit the brakes and enable the driver to drive on battery-power only up to 38 miles per hour (depending on model).

Anyone that says the Ford Hybrids are recommended, but does not recommend Toyota’s (or vice versa) does not have enough sense or knowledge to give an accurate answer. It’s the exact same hybrid system.

Q: Which Cc would you buy????
Getting a new SUV soonish.

2011 Audi Q7 3.0T AWD Premium

2011 Acura MDX Tech Package AWD

2011 Toyota Highlander Limited V6 4×4

2011 Toyota 4Runner Limited V6 4×4

2011 Dodge Durango Citadel 5.7L Hemi AWD
Title “Which CAR Would you buy”
Ford man=

Explorer does not have adequate torque to my standards.

It also bears the “Exploder” nameplate.

A: The Durango..I love all cars yes including cars that are not American. I just love the new Durango..second would be the Audi followed closely by the Acura..

For the first answer..that is the new Durango it hasn’t even came out yet so how do you know it’s a POS? Fail on your part give it a chance.

Q: Which SUV is the best?
Most likely getting a 2011 or 2012. Dust doing a little early research.

I like:

2011 Acura MDX tech package

2011 Audi Q7 3.0T Premium

2011 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4×4

2011 Toyota Highlander Limited 4×4

2011 Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid

The Touraeg looks cool because of its large amounts of MPG, HP, and Torque. Which would you buy, if it was your money.

Please no condescending answers or “Buy American” crap.
Range Rover- No, too unreliable. I have had family members with them.

GMC Yukon- Gas Guzzler and GM is going bust.

A: i would ABSOLUTELY go with either the acura or the audi. they are both very luxurious and hold their value better than the others. Personally i wouldnt go with toyotas or vw’s just because toyotas are too common and plain and vw’s are a little sketchy to me (i know they’re known to be reliable but everybody i’ve known to have one has had problems).

NOW: between the audi or the acura?? ooh.. hard choice. the acura will probably be more reliable than the audi (only by a bit) and the audi will certainly be a bit more expensive to work on. HOWEVER i think audi might surpass acura in the luxury catagory.

but overall: pick which one YOU like best.

Q: Battle of the SUVs?????????
I am looking into getting a new SUV (a 2011 model in late 2011) and I am just doing a little research.

Please give me your opinion ON THE ONES I SAY ONLY, NO OTHER SUGGESTIONS.

1 Acura MDX (tech package), I like the power, room, safety and reliability.
2 Audi Q7 (3.0T) I am an Audi fan and I like this one, it has all of the options I want.
3 Toyota 4Runner (Limited 4×4) I like the nameplate, this one is not as luxurious as the others but I still would consider it.

4 Toyota Highlander (Limited AWD), average in most respects, it looks a little bland but nice

5 Nissan Armada (SL), if I wanted something a little bigger this would be it.

6 Nissan Xterra (SE), it offers a lot of power and cargo room if I wanted something smaller

7 A late entry the Mercedes-Benz ML350, I like the reliability of the brand, prestige and comfort of the vehicle.

So if it was your money what would you buy???
Billy- The BMW X5 has a split opening rear hatch, that would be my first choice if it was a one-piece rear hatch.

A: Out of your choices i would go with the following, in order from how much i would want them

1) Acura MDX, its a great SUV full of great tech inside, smooth ride, good space
2) Audi Q7, same reasons as acura
3) Highlander, it is affordable, good mpg, and a smooth ride

Q: 2011 Toyota Highlander Question and 2011 vehicle questions?

A: Ok — I was wrong on my last answer regarding the 2011 Highlander — Sorry for the bad info before. I just saw the new ones in person: The 3rd row is going to be on every model — no “3rd row delete” option anymore. Also, the 3rd row IS a 50/50 split on all models, and is very user-friendly. The interior gets some new fabric on the base model and a nice perforated leather on the limited. The center stack got a refresh with a more sleek looking radio and the Limited has a much better looking wood trim.

Still, it’s probably not the right vehicle if you’re going to be hauling 6 people and luggage on a regular basis. The best combo of fuel economy and room will be found in the dreaded mini-van (which I personally love).
