A: check the blue book value out on the car. right off the top of my head you can sell it for $17,000 just to be nice since you have low miles.

I am looking for a civic hatch, mainly because they are so light and popular. what years and what models were the hatches, I know the 91 CRX and the CX ….and the 2000 Si… but what all other years and models were hatches? .. which model hatch offers the best in performance and handling?
A: Well Honda made hatches from ‘84-87 (can swap in a B16, there are kits). ‘88-91 (you can swap almost everything in there, I believe HaSport has a K20 swap kit for it), the 92-95 (most popular and you can put anything under the sun in it). Same goes for the 96-2000 civics.
My question when coming for the performance and handling is: Why does it matter? I’m guessing you’ll be doing a motor swap and doing suspension and etc. So go with what you can afford, do your research. And max out what the car is capable of. For me if I had a choice, would be an EG hatch (92-95), either a CX or VX and drop in a built K20 and go all motor.
But do whatever you want, it’s your choice to have fun, and the car you want to have fun in.

My honda civc 89 wont start. It wasn’t getting any gas So I checked fuel filter in the gas tank and it is getting gas now but it still wont start. I was going to check the spark But I cant find the spark plugs. There is a cap with four wires coming off of it right next to the engine. I took it off and there is no plugs. Any help

There is a cap with four wires coming off of it right next to the engine” that is the distributor, the spark plug wires run from the distributor and the actual spark plugs are on the other end of the spark plug wires. its like a phone , the phone cord, and the reciever, you are looking at the reciever, now just follow the phone cord to the phone.
check for spark, check for loose connections on sensors and wires , and you might need to test the fuel pressure to make sure enough fuel is reaching the injectors.

A: They are excellent in snow as are most front wheel drive cars You won’t need snow tires but to be safe make sure the tires are in good condition if you’re buying a used car. Also, if you are considering a used car make sure the coolant and thermostat are new so that the heater works as it should and you’ll be good to go.

Hey. My Honda wont start. I thought it wasnt getting fuel. It is. So I was told it could be the spark plugs. I tried to check by using the hold end of wire to metal method. I didn’t see any spark. I took the top cover off of it(were the rocker arms and stuff are) and there is four holes with the plugs in them. First question is, The outside holes have oil in them. I think it is the seals. Will that be the problem? Second question, The second hole from the left, The socket wont go in it. It will go in all the other ones, but gets stuck halfway through that one. Is there a reason for this or is it just corroded in that one. Please help.
A: Try replacing you ignition control module, hondas had alot of these go bad. If it goes bad the car will crank but have no fire. It costs about 50 bucks from honda and is located behind the dash and above the steering column

I know you’re suppose to negotiate the price of the car first, so how much should i look to pay? Do you think i could get it for $250 a month?
A: Not with $500 down.
Right now the special lease program from Honda is $149/mo for the VP with $2699 not including taxes and fees. They also have $189/ mo for the LX with $1999 not including your taxes and fees.
Both of these cars are lower in trim then the EX. You also need to qualify for these programs.
Despite what you may hear a lease is good for certain people not just corporations. Less then 10% of people EVER pay off a car. I like to lease so I can get a new car more often and not being stuck with a car I don’t like. Plus, I don’t not end up like most people that roll negative equity forever on to the next car they get. I see people all the time that did buy and they rolled the negative and now they are needing to get out of that car and are buried so deep they have no choice but to keep the car they don’t want or can’t use due to life changes(kids).

My 95 Honda Civic recently locked and froze, and the mechanic can’t turn it over. He told me that it would cost around $3000 for a used engine, and $6000 for a new one (I’m assuming labor included). Does this sound right? What is the process of buying a new engine for an old car? Is it even worth it?

A: ebay sells motors for that car. for all that money they told you, you can buy another 95 civic! also for that much you can have it turbo with the inegra gsr motor in yours. are they crazy?
